Racing Tips 4th November

THE third day of the Flemington carnival is G1 VRC Oaks day, with another big nine-race program to be decided over the course of the afternoon.
It’s commonly known as ladies day, so it should be a wonderful day trackside if you’re able to make it. We have our best of the best selections below from our PlayUp form analyst.

Flemington:

R6 #8 Malkovich $2.70 at PlayUp
Second up here the very talented Choisir horse, coming off a gallant run in defeat to Oxley Road in the G2 Caulfield Sprint. It was an excellent return to form where he led at a very quick tempo, dropped the whip at the 300m mark, and was only beaten 0.75L with a huge gap to third. Drawn perfectly here in barrier three, unbeaten second up in his career, and has a record of 4:3-1 over the 1000m. Although he is untried down the straight he looks an adaptable horse and should be winning here.
R7 #9 Bermadez $5.50 at PlayUp
Thought the first up win of Bermadez last start was extremely strong, and i’m tipping he has therefore returned this prep in outstanding order. He was made to work hard to find the front, and once he got there managed to extend in a 3rd fastest last 200m sectional of the entire day to win. The time was 2.5L quicker than standard for BM70 grade, and should give you a very big sight out in front. D Oliver stays aboard, and he will roll across from wide to take it up and look to control it again.
Hawkesbury:

R2 #3 Mr Burgundy $2.35 at PlayUp
First starter for Will Freedman, who has trialled like an absolute jet at Muswellbrook leading into this. His latest trial win over the 1000m was by a lazy 6.5L, and he looks to map well here on debut with the 1.5kg claim a cherry on top. There are no superstars in this midweek maiden, so expect him to break through here and go on to some better things.
R8 #8 Buba $2.80 at PlayUp
I like it win K Waugh teams up with T Berry, and they look to have a leading chance here with Buba. Ran 4th at Scone last time out after being off the scene for almost 8 weeks, and probably got found out late in the piece there. Much fitter here, and drops 2kg getting T Berry on. A bit of rain predicted would be absolutely ideal as her best form is on wet going, but she maps very well from barrier three and could be too strong.

CHANCES ARE YOU'RE ABOUT TO LOSE.
