Racing Tips: 10th December

Saturday selections from the PlayUp form analyst

Sandown R3 #1 Russian Roni $4.40 at PlayUp – Thought this horse would be able to give the race a good shake, coming off a super dominant Bendigo win last start. He was 5 weeks between runs when he put 3.5L on them over the mile, leading at a strong tempo and still kicking late to win. Remarkably, even after leading at such a quick tempo, he managed to run the fastest 400-200m split of the entire meeting on his way to victory. Can easily be further improved into this run now with added fitness under his belt, and should lead them here and be hard to get past again.

Sandown R4 #8 Tasman Park $4.80 at PlayUp – An undefeated galloper who undoubtedly strikes his hardest test to date, but I love the way he continues to win and think he’s a great chance of making it three straight. The debut Bendigo win was very strong, sitting handy and streaking away with a lot in hand. He came to the Lakeside track last start and won again, defeating Obfuscation handily on the line. Third up and out to 1600m looks ideal, and he is drawn well to push forward from the draw and position himself handy in running.

Sandown R7 #6 See Marie $12.00 at PlayUp – I think this horse has been completely overlooked by the market, perhaps as her form guide reads two runs this prep for both 9th place finishes. But she was extremely unlucky first up in the G3 HKJC Stakes at Flemington, was back and wide behind a very slow tempo and savaged the line late, running the 9th best last 200m sectional for the entire program from an impossible winning position. Beaten under 5L last start in the G3 Summoned Stakes behind My Whisper and Roots, who would both be odds-on chances in a race likes this. Gets a huge drop in grade back to a BM84, third up and can peak.

Randwick R3 #3 Sacrimony $4.60 at PlayUp – Happy to have a bet on this Waller runner, especially with the knowledge that a few key rivals still listed as runners as of Friday morning will be scratched due to them running at Canterbury on Friday night. This gelding ran a very solid 2nd first up at Kembla behind Quick Tempo, coming from way off the speed and forced to run in between horses through to the line. With any clear room he probably wins, and now out to 1100m with added fitness on his side I think he can be too good for them. The 2kg claim for in-form apprentice Dylan Gibbons is the icing on top.

Randwick R4 #4 Bonny Ezra $7.00 at PlayUp – Really strong last start winner in Listed grade that i’m keen to stick with, who has run well all throughout this prep. She was really unlucky way back first up at Randwick over the mile, running quick sectionals home from an impossible winning position. The last start win over 2000m was strong, defeating proven city winners Dr Drill and Aleas. Fourth up here, sticks to equal grade and now stepping out to the 2400m will be ideal. Love the booking of M Dee, arguably the form rider of the Spring carnival outside of James McDonald, he will give him every chance to win again.

CHANCES ARE YOU'RE ABOUT TO LOSE.
