Million Dollar Chase Action Continues Tonight

All eyes will be on greyhound racing at The Gardens tonight with the Regional Final of the Million Dollar Chase being the highlight. This is certainly one of the more even finals we have seen in the 2020 series, with all runners considered a winning chance. Later in the evening at Nowra we see a further two very even heats of the series to be run, with their Regional Final to be conducted next Sunday evening.

Over in the west, we get to see boom chaser Tommy Shelby, one the favourites for the big final of the Million Dollar Chase, chasing his 6th consecutive victory at Cannington in a heat of the WA Bred Championship. The Steve Withers trained chaser has taken the racing scene by storm in the west, and has become a real dog for the people with his own Twitter and Facebook profile. In an early race on the program, star stayer Flake Monelli reverts to the sprint trip as she chases her 8th consecutive win. There have been whispers that she may be on the same flight as Tommy when he heads to NSW in a couple weeks, with her goal being the Group 1 Sydney Cup.

Nowra R9 #3 Spritely Ebony $3.30 at PlayUp – Normally a reliable beginner, this girl can carve out some seriously fast times once on the lure. Has the speed to progress a long way in the series and tonight will be the first step along the path.

Selections: 3-2-8-6

The Gardens R5 #2 Aston Lee $3.70 at PlayUp – The Jason Mackay kennels have been quite of late against their normal standards, but this superbly bred speedster can book his ticket for the Million Dollar Chase semi-finals with a win tonight. Nicely drawn closer to the rails than in his heat when he had box 8, Aston Lee can follow the very speedy red runner early and prove too strong in the closing stages.

Selections: 2-1-5-6.

Meadows R3 #6 Hadouken $4.20 at PlayUp – Been very consistent at this track on recent weeks and this looks his race despite the awkward draw. Has the speed to lead and he can go one better tonight than his second last week in good time.

Selections: 6-1-2-8.

Meadows R9 #1 Georgia Rose $2.30 at PlayUp – In the leading Jason Thompson kennel, Georgia Rose has looked good winning her past two on the provincial circuit and she looks ideally drawn off the inside tonight. Looks well graded in this event.

Selections: 1-3-4-2

Wentworth Park R2 #2 Boomin’ Ethics $3.50 at PlayUp – Ignore last week’s run, as he is so much better suited drawn closer to the rails as he is tonight. Can lead this field and once in front you would not expect him to surrender the lead. Use him as your banker for some all up bets tonight. Selections: 2-6-1-8.
