The Trading Room: 8th January

WELCOME to the PlayUp Trading Room where you get insight on the days best bets, according to our traders.

Live from 9am everyday – let’s take a look at what’s on deck today;

NBA – Minnesota T’wolves @ OKC Thunder

These teams played a couple days ago in Minnesota and the Thunder covered a +9.0 line.

Now, OKC is back home and get Lu Dort back in the lineup, which is a huge boost for them. The Timberwolves have tagged Pat Beverley as questionable, which is equally big news but again hasn’t been factored in the line.

This is simply the markets flipping the closing line of last game for home court, but there’s a lot more favouring OKC now then it did in the previous match up. Take the points for the Thunder in this one.

Our best bet: OKC Thunder +5.5 $1.93 at PlayUp

Horse racing – Rosehill

This 3-year-old comes out of the Chris Waller yard and was not disgraced in Group company when racing in NZ.

Waller brings her to Sydney via two solid trials. steps straight out to the 1500m, drops to a 0-78 with no weight and perfectly drawn – looks very hard to beat.

Our best bet: Rosehill Race 3, no. 9 – And We Danced $3.40 at PlayUp

Market mover
Par Un Nez $8.50 –> $4.40

This has been the biggest go of the day, out of the Toby/Trent Edmonds yard.

This 4-year-old gelding had two solid runs at his first prep , has had a 67-day break and today comes back gelded and has Blinkers on for the first time.

Punters were more than happy to launch into the $8.50 opening quote and again at the $6 quote now into $4 .

All factors point to this son of Written Tycoon running a big race.

Ipswich Race 6, no. 1 – Par Un Nez $4.40 at PlayUp
