Midweek day of racing comes around, check out the thoughts of the PlayUp form analyst below, as they identify five good bets around the country.
Geelong R3 #9 Identical $6.50 at PlayUp – This looks a cracker race with a host of chances, and we’ve landed on Identical here for the Kelly camp. Second up into this race, after running fairly when fresh over an unsuitable distance. So far her highest rating run came second up last prep, on a soft track at Mornington. Likely to find very similar conditions here, and will get the perfect map from a low enough draw. She wasn’t too far off them in a Listed race at Flemington last prep, so clearly has some ability.
Geelong R6 #11 Star Of Chaos $4.80 at PlayUp – Down on the minimum here is Star Of Chaos, coming off a fresh win two starts back and an insanely luckless run last start at Sandown. The fresh win at Ballarat was a 6L demolition in which she ran the second fastest last 200m of the program, and tried to come from an impossible winning position last start but found nothing but rear ends. Third up now, ready to peak, and should have every chance coming wide from a middle alley.
Kensington R3 #9 Beep Test $2.80 at PlayUp – Coming off a very stylish win at Kembla last start, where she was forced to lead in a position that is clearly not comfortable for her, but put them away by over 1L without being fully tested. Her Gosford win prior to that was equally impressive coming from off the speed. Expect similar tactics today from the wide draw, and with J Mac sticking aboard that looks to be a huge push within itself. She will build momentum down the outside and prove too good for them again.
Kensington R6 #9 Torun $3.70 at PlayUp – This horse flew home here last start over the 1150m, after spotting them a very big gap in running. Third up now and comes out to the 1250m looks very suitable, and the rider change of Nash hopping on looks a very positive move. Will get back and build momentum again, but will likely be a touch closer than last start and that should prove the winning change. As long as the track is not too firm on the day, she can be winning. Praying for some expected rain on Tuesday night.
