Racing

Greyhounds Tips May 13th

A huge night of racing tonight especially at Albion Park, where the finals of the Carnival Chase and the Young Guns will be run, and at Sandown with The running of the heats of the Sapphire and the Harrison Dawson. Group racing creates the interest of punters from across the globe and tonight will be no exception. The quality of dogs racing at both locations is simply outstanding and will make viewing tonight. When the fields are this strong and even, finding winners is never easier but when you do find one it is usually nice value. Hopefully, that will be the case tonight again.

Albion Park Race 6 No 2 Ninetymile King $2.45 at PlayUp – Suffered his first defeat last week at the 600-metre distance, when finishing second in his heat, after winning his first six tries at the trip. He is a star stayer in the making we have no doubt. From this draw, we think he can sit right on the favourite from box 1, and then prove too strong in the closing stages.

Albion Park Race 8 No 1 Dreamy Dan $10.00 at PlayUp – Looks real value in this race. No luck in the run to the first turn last week and was shuffled back to midfield. Made up good ground despite being well beaten. From the inside draw, we expect him to be much closer to the lead and should feature in the finish. Each-way.

Sandown Race 1 No 4 Daph’s Ascend $7.00 at PlayUp – Might seem crazy but the middlebox will suit this as dogs on either side will cause no issues. Down on the form of late but does have the ability. Each-way value.

Sandown Race 2 No 1 Shima Classic $2.05 at PlayUp – Class galloper who should lead and win. Best bet of the night.

Sandown Race 3 No 5 Mepunga Isla $6.50 at PlayUp – Excellent record on this track. Recent runs are better than they appear on paper. Good galloper.

Sandown Race 4 No 7 Qwara Bale $3.30 at PlayUp – Outstanding winner of the Group 2 Warrnambool Cup at her latest run. Proven at this track. All class.

Sandown Race 5 No Weblec Jet 3.60 at PlayUp – Recent winner of the Geelong Cup and then last start brilliantly won consolation of the Warrnambool Cup. Can really run time on the arm. Draw suits if he begins with them.

Sandown Race 6 No 4 Shima Shine $1.70 at PlayUp – Close to being the fastest dog in the country when given room early to find his feet. Huge run at Warrnambool last start in Cup final when placed third. Yes.

Sandown Race 7 No 8 Catch The Thief $4.20 at PlayUp  – Another with a great record this track and distance. Scouts away from the rail so the draw should be no concern. Looks nice value.

Sandown Race 8 No 2 Sunset Spitfire $1.90 at PlayUp – West Australian visitor having the first start on the track but has trialed very well here last week. Very speedy so should lead and win.
