Greyhound Tips: 27th August

The Million Dollar Chase regional qualifying events are entering their final stages, and this afternoon at Goulburn we see the return to the track of She’s A Pearl, the winner of the previous Million Dollar Chase held in April. Injury and a seasonal condition she kept the champ from the track since that final, but from all reports she has been trialling well and is ready to make her move towards winning back to back Million Dollar Chases. What a feat that would be, it would take her earnings towards $2.5 million, a figure that would take some beating.

Tonight we have racing across the nation at Richmond, The Gardens, Geelong, Traralgon, Shepparton, Wagga, Ipswich and Mandurah. We have found eight selections that we think can win and provide our followers with a nice start to the weekend. With plenty of feature racing ahead in the coming weeks, we are looking forward to providing our followers with an extended coverage, and hopefully very rewarding.

Geelong Race 3 No 2 Grand Oro $3.60 at PlayUp – Beaten narrowly here last Friday in his heat but should have won by panels as he received a number of checks during the race. Will be suited by this draw as he wanted to get down to the rail last week. Looks to have real talent and this race is very winnable for him. The odds on offer do look to be attractive.

Geelong Race 6 No 2 El Cazador $9.50 at PlayUp – Does his best racing at the Geelong track winning 8 times previously. Gets back early but is super strong and that is what is bedded over this 520 metre trip. He is excellent each way odds so can provide followers with a nice result when he salutes.

Wagga Race 6 No 1 Paua To Contest $2.20 at PlayUp – Perfectly drawn in box one as he does have nice pace, so should hold the lead. Has been racing in stronger fields in Victoria so should enjoy the drop in class tonight. Very well bred dog who gets his chance to win tonight. Yes. We think he is the best bet of the night and your banker for all your multi bets.

Richmond Race 7 No 4 Panama Pepper $2.10 at PlayUp – One of West Australia’s best greyhounds who finished a close second in WA final of the National Sprint Championship just last week. Normally a reliable beginner so the middle draw should cause little concern. Strong once on the lure. Did trial at this track earlier in the week so that should be beneficial. It is a tough race in paper but our selection can get the job done.

Richmond Race 8 No 2 Zipping Kyrgios $2.90 at PlayUp – Super star sprinter who has enjoyed no luck in his recent races since returning from an injury enforced. However he show enough at his latest run to suggest he is close to a win, when he was checked when in a winning position. Races very well at this track and loves an inside draw. We think he can bounce back tonight and record win number 30 of his career.

Geelong Race 11 No 1 Blazing Times $4.80 at PlayUp – Been racing very consistently, without winning, in similar class in recent starts. This draw will benefit greatly, as he has the speed to push through and lead. Strong dog so once in front that should be the race. It really does look a winnable race for him.

Richmond Race 12 No 1 Minkara Minx $2.80 at PlayUp – Super run here last start when held up at the first corner when running second in a similar race to this. She is very speedy and we think she can lead from the inside box, and win. The race does lack a lot of depth and over the short course, the leaders generally win. Yes.
