Racing Tips October 20th

MIDWEEK racing selections from the PlayUp form analyst below.

Geelong:

R2 #9 Pres De Toi $6.50 at PlayUp
Ready to win here for P Chow, was very good fresh at Cranbourne over 1400m where she got back to last in running, and was terribly blocked for a run for the majority of the straight. Only clear inside the last 150m where she flew home, and it rated inside the top 10 fastest last 200m sectionals of the entire meeting. Completely unsuited by the heavy surface last start so we can forgive that, she now draws barrier two, is third up, and comes back on drying ground.
R4 #8 Unanimous $8.00 at PlayUp
Two runs back off a long spell have both been full of merit, and he looks ready to rejoin the winners stall now. First up at Wangaratta he got back in the field in a race that was hard to make ground, and finished off in the best last 600m, 400m and 200m sectionals of the entire program to run 3rd. Then last start at Bendigo was not suited getting back on heavy going, but again ran the fastest last 200m of the whole day off a very hot speed. Busting to win!
R8 #3 How Womantic $2.90 at PlayUp
Returned very well in a high rating race at Sandown last start, running 3rd behind Esta La Roca and Bless Her who has since been competitive in group level. She was ridden upside down at Sandown, getting back to last while she usually likes to lead. Still closed off very well in the 2nd fastest last 600m and 400m of the day but spotted them an impossible margin. A previous winner second up, three time winner at the distance, and should benefit from the positive rider change.
Randwick Kensington:

R3 #2 Dream Runner $5.50 at PlayUp
Bursting to win again, since winning five starts ago he has run fifth to Silent Agenda and then placed on three straight occasions. Last start at Randwick in a good race he managed to split Yiyi and Solar Apex, which reads very strong on the form guide. Drawn a touch wider will suit, and if this expected rain comes overnight on Tuesday, he should shorten right in as his wet track stats are superior.
R7 #16 Conrad $4.00 at PlayUp
A very lightly raced 3yo gelding by Maurice, who resumes here after a short spell since winning at Hawkesbury. He is building a very good record, with two wins and a placing from four starts. He also started favourite in the G3 Baillieu as a 2yo, so clearly has talent up his sleeve. He is drawn very well from barrier two, and looks fairly weighted against his opposition. 1300m is ideal, keen he continues on winning ways here in a midweek BM72.
Prices accurate at time of writing.
