Midweek selections from the PlayUp form analyst below.
Sale R2 #9 The Nephew $5.00 at PlayUp – Big field here, which should set up perfectly for this runner. last start on debut at Kyneton was very good coming from an impossible winning position back in the field off a slow tempo, and ran a meeting fastest split between the 400-200m mark when improving on the bend, and ran the 8th fastest last 200m split of the entire day. Second up now, out in distance and the hotter pace always for him to run home better.
Sale R4 #2 Sudoko $3.30 at PlayUp – Was very impressed with the first prep of this Rubick gelding, winning very stylishly on debut and then going down narrowly in a 2yo race at Caulfield next up. Has since been spelled since then, and resumes in a very winnable race here for a horse who is clearly up to city grade. Proven fresh winner, and also proven to handle rain affected going off that debut win plus jump outs on wet tracks.
Sale R9 #9 Tadweer $2.80 at PlayUp – Was taken with the debut win of this galloper, albeit in a fairly easy Synthetic track maiden. He jumped fast and led the field, showing good tactical speed to find himself to that position. From there he rolled them along, and ran the fastest last 400 and 200m splits of the entire day to pull away and score. It was a very impressive front running display that should see him win a lot of races, and if he can handle the wet conditions here today he can win again.
Rosehill R2 #3 Depiction $3.00 at PlayUp – A very good maiden winner at Newcastle provincials last start, keen on the Godolphin runner to make it back to back victories. He put the field away by 5L after landing up on speed, and quickening again late to win. His only other run was on debut last prep behind Four Moves Ahead on a heavy Randwick track, and clearly appreciates the firmer going. Goes straight to the front for Nash here and doesn’t look back.
Rosehill R6 #2 Juan Diva $4.00 at PlayUp – Sticking with the luckless Juan Diva here, who was very well backed last start fresh and was not given much hope. He handed up position in running to the eventual winner, and didn’t get clear until late where she flew home but missed. Second up now, fitter, and T Clark should be very keen to make amends. Her trials leading into this prep were outstanding, so i’m convinced she’s in good order and can be atoning now.
