Greyhounds Tips June 11th

Jungle Deuce stamped himself as the new star of greyhound racing last night at Albion Park when he recorded an outstanding all the at victory in the final of the Group Two Flying Amy Classic. Trained at Forbes by Jack Smith, well known for also having trained Feral Franky during his career, the win was the third feature race win in just eighteen career starts for Jungle Deuce and took his career earnings past the $180,000 mark, all this at just 25 months of age. The upcoming rich Brisbane Cup will be on the agenda no doubt. Could he be our next Million Dollar dog?

The other feature race last night at Albion Park, the Dashing Corsair for the stayers, was taken out by the New South Wales owned, but Queensland trained, Zipping Niseko, who managed to hold off the fast finish of Maggie Moo Moo in the run to the line. She too looks to have a very bright future.

In Victoria, at Warragul and Ballarat, the opening heats of the Pink Diamond series were run, producing some dazzling performances. Only last week in the Speed Star at Sandown Park, we saw littermates, Aston Rupee and Aston Fastnet, go head to head in their match race with Rupee proving too good on the night in very fast time. Last night they contested separate events at Warragul over the 460 metres, and this time it was Fastnet recording the faster time, an amazing 25.35 marginally in front of Rupee who recorded 25.38. Most amazing animals. The series continues this evening with further heats of all events being run at Shepparton and Geelong.

Let us find the punters some winners for tonight.

Ipswich Race 8 No 1 Made in America $2.35 at PlayUp An absolute flying machine that is stepping up to the 520 metre trip for the first time. A winner of 17 races from just 27 career starts, from the inside draw he will be carving out some very fast sectionals, we have no doubt. The last 40 metres will test him but we believe he can establish a winning break prior to this.

Geelong Race 2 No 5 Midday Snooze $1.80 at PlayUp Ultra impressive last Friday night at Geelong when winning by seven lengths in good time at his race track debut. Superbly bred and in the strong kennel of a local trainer, Angela Langton. A repeat of his performance from last week will see him winning again.

Geelong Race 3 No 1 Tom The Cheap $4.60 at PlayUp Stepping up to the 680 metre trip for the first time but gives the impression it will suit. A recent finalist in the Group 2 Geelong Cup, this is a huge drop in class for him. Always running on in his races but from this draw, he should be able to be closer to the lead. Looks nice value at the odds.

Richmond Race 9 No 1 Got Your Tongue $3.30 at PlayUpTwo starts back, at this track and distance, railed hard for a handy second placing from box 3. Gives the impression he needs an inside box to perform at his best and he will find no easier race than this. Has the speed to take advantage of the box and lead all the way.

Mandurah Race 6 No 3 Zambora Smokey $3.60 at PlayUpGot the money for us last week in a nice fashion at his first start in West Australia. That run will have been of great benefit to the dog. He is a high-class greyhound and we are expecting him to salute again tonight, despite the field is stronger than last weeks.
