As the build up to Saturday’s Australian Cup and Fanta Bale Super Stayers finals, at The Meadows, continues to grow, we firstly have racing across the country this evening in which we must attempt to find the punters some winners. Initially on paper, it looked a tough night, with even fields making for very open races. But sometimes these nights can prove very profitable and we think we have found the punters some real value. Don’t forget that on Saturday we will have a complete look at the two Group 1 finals from The Meadows, plus we will attempt to find winners from other venues also racing on the same night.
Sandown Park Race 2 No 3 Snapper Smith $14.00 at PlayUp – Only a youngster and still green but is improving with each run. Gives the impression he is best suited when drawn down towards the rails, and from this draw we can see him being near the lead throughout. He really does look great each way value in a field that is not over strong.
Angle Park Race 2 No 4 Oakvale Blue $5.00 at PlayUp – Been racing very consistently in recent times and probably put in the run of his career last start when runner up to the superstar Coorong Lucy, who is near on unbeatable around this track. The draw is a touch awkward but with a good beginning he can land in the first couple and stay there. Represents nice each way value.
Albion Park Race 6 No 1 Tribal Magic $4.80 at PlayUp – Much better than her recent form when she has been having no luck in very strong races. A winner of 11 races including 3 at this track and distance, from this draw we are expecting a significant important on recent form. Her record from the draw reads 7 starts for 3 wins and 3 placings. Despite only two place dividends she does look very good value, on an each way basis.
Dapto Race 9 No 1 Zipping Stewie $1.70 at PlayUp – Looked promising during the Maiden series conducted at Wentworth Park during January, when at his latest start he led up in the final won by the highly talented Jungle Deuce. Only a youngster so no doubt he will continue to improve. Has the speed to push up and lead all the way in this. We are making him our banker in all your multi bets tonight.
Sandown Park Race 10 No 8 Weblec Storm $15.00 at PlayUp – Form does not read well on paper, but he has not been far away in a number of these races. Does need luck in running as he is a dog that hates to be crowded so from the wide draw tonight, he should stay clear of trouble. Can begin well enough to be in the leading half of the field around the first bend. Does hit the line very hard so look for him storming home. He does look excellent each way value.
