Greyhound Tips 11th February 2021

After a magnificent few weeks of quality racing at Albion Park, the attention will move to Melbourne on Saturday night where we will see the running of three Group 1 events, plus 5 Preludes of the 2021 Australian Cup. This will be followed the following Saturday night with the running of eight Australian Cup heats, bringing together the best dogs in Australia. Excitement plus. Tonight, we are not lucky enough to have any major races being run anywhere around the country, but we still have some interesting fields. Winners have been flowing in recent weeks, and quite a few at nice odds too, so we are hoping this can continue tonight.

Sandown Park Race 1 No 6 Five Star $2.90 at PlayUp – Very talented youngster in the strong Paul Abela kennel. Resumed from a four week break last Saturday night at The Meadows with a very strong win in nice time. He began must cleaner last start than he had been before the break so hopefully this habit can continue. With even luck in running, we think this fellow can kick start our night.

Albion Park Race 1 No 4 Ringbark Ragnar $12.00 at PlayUp – Let us down badly last week here when he finished well down the track after finding plenty of early trouble. The result being he is even better odds this week and we just cannot allow him to go around at these odds without investing. Despite the poor draw again tonight, this dog can figure prominently in the finish. At the odds, we suggest investing each way.

Albion Park Race 5 No 2 Certification $2.70 at PlayUp – Another from the Greg Stella kennel, like Ringbark Rangar, this dog has an excellent overall race record. Winning 16 of 33 starts, a strike rate of close on 50%. Extremely unlucky here last start when he got smashed in the run to the first turn. Forgot he ever went around. Tonight, he is very well drawn so we can expect him to lead and from there he should be able to record a victory.

Dapto Race 7 No 1 One Dimension $1.60 at PlayUp – Runaway winner here last start in maiden class by 8 lengths, after being extremely unlucky at her first race start. Sectionals were very good last week so from this box she should find the early lead with ease. Yes, she is short in the markets, but she should win, so she can be a real banker for the punters in your multi’s.

Sandown Park Race 11 No 2 Aston Turbine $7.50 at PlayUp – This bloke does not win out of turn but is super consistent. Renowned slow beginner, he is drawn to get a nice trail into the race tonight by following through the speedy dog drawn in box 1. His strength is his great asset so if he can remain in touch in the run down the back, we know he will be finding the line hard over the concluding stages. Again at the odds, well worth investing on an each way basis.
