WELCOME to the PlayUp Trading Room where you get insight on the days best bets, according to our traders.

Live from 9am everyday – let’s take a look at what’s on deck today;

NBA – Boston Celtics v Golden State Warriors

Players entering healthy & safety protocol are certainly impacting the state of the league right now, and this game is no different.

Boston loses big man Al Horford, while the Warriors lose starting guard Jordan Poole.  Both are likely of equal value to the line, but the price for the home team seems generous here.

The Celtics with Jaylen Brown back are arguably better than the Indiana Pacers, who closed with this same price against the Warriors last week. This is a tougher spot and matchup for Golden State and you’re probably finding a bit of extra value taking Boston at the current price.

Our best bet: Boston Celtics +3.5 $1.92 at PlayUp

Horse racing – Gold Coast

This Les Kelly 3-year-old colt out of Benfica/Pot “O” Gold has ability, with a track record of 3-from-3 here at the Gold Coast.

When given a chance in the 3yo 130k Rupert Stakes at Doomben and showed he nearly measured up to the that grade beaten only 3.25L.

Stable look to have changed tact and now happy to go through it’s grades at the Goldy. The ‘Smart Money” launched into the $4.20 when markets opened up and now into $2.15 . Should be winning.

Our best bet: Gold Coast Race 3, no. 5 – Minto’s Paradise $2.15 at PlayUp

Market mover – Horse Racing, Eagle Farm
Aligator Blood $15.00 –> $7.50

Best go of the day is for this “cult hero” 5-year-old gelding now with the Billy Healey team on the Sunshine Coast.
Resumed in the Group 3 George Moore – found the tempo of the 1200m a little sharp, stepping to the 1400m today and a drop in class has been backed from $15 into $7.50.
Watch the crowd lift the roof off at the track late in the day if this fan favourite salutes.
NFL Futures – Super Bowl winner
The 2021/22 NFL Season is coming down to the wire and it looks like one of the most open competitions in years.
There are many strong contenders but we are recommending a strong play on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to repeat as Superbowl Champions. Last season the NFL introduced 2 extra play-off teams and as a result only 1 team in each conference receives a 1st round-play off bye. This is a crucial advantage and Tampa Bay is now in pole position in a stacked NFC.
The Bucs are currently at 10-3 and have the Saints, Panthers (twice) and Jets to finish off the year with a genuine chance to run the table. Their rivals for the top seed (also with 10-3 records) are the Packers (face Baltimore, Cleveland, Minnesota, Detroit) and the Cardinals (Detroit, Indianapolis, Dallas and Seattle) have much tougher draws.
With Tom Brady playing at a MVP level and a relatively healthy roster Tampa and Bay can win the Superbowl from any playoff seeding but their road home gives them inside running on the first week bye and as a result we are tipping them to repeat at $5.00.
Our best bet: Tampa Bay Buccaneers $5.00 at PlayUp
