Big Bash – Melbourne Stars v Sydney Sixers
Melbourne Stars host Sydney Sixers at the MCG Wednesday night in what is a repeat of the opening match of Big Bash 21/22 season.
On that occasion the Sixers smoked the Stars in a record 152-run victory. The Sixers certainly enjoy playing the Stars having won their last six head-to-head encounters.
On Saturday, they suffered their first loss of the season when Hobart got the better of them, but they remain on top of the points table. The Stars have rebounded well with two wins since the opening game debacle and have added Andre Russell into their squad, but I think the Sixers will be too good here and expect them to win again.
Market movement has given us some extra value here as well for what is still the better team.

Horse Racing – Sandown Park
GATE CRASH (#1) is resuming since August after showing above average ability during its debut campaign.
An out and out staying type, Gate Crash has had three (3) jump outs and a recent barrier trial win leading into this first up assignment where the 1600 metres should pose no problems.
Will likely settle off the pace so it is drawn a little awkward in Barrier 1, however with a soft run in transit I expect the Patrick Payne trained gelding to showcase its class and be hitting the line strongly.

Market mover – Horse Racing, Sandown Park
Masterful $6.00 –> $3.20
The Julius Sandhu runner Masterful, ridden by Damien Oliver, has already had a run at the track (where for the other’s it is their first time) and Sandown can be a tricky track with the slight running up and down hill’s.
With the other First Starters in the race very soft in the market , the $6 looked well and truly overs and with the addition of another 100m, stepping to 1300m today, should be hard to beat.
