ANOTHER great Saturday of summer racing, and our PlayUp form analyst has identified five key bets across the Pakenham and Rosehill programs.
Take a look at the selections below.
Pakenham:
R1 #7 Tycoon Bec $3.50 at PlayUp
Very keen on the Cumani/Kah combination here with Tycoon Bec, who suffered her first career defeat at Geelong last time out behind a talented Turbeau. She was pestered in the lead there and was no match over the concluding stages. She maps to get a much easier time in front here, and with added fitness plus the step up to the mile, she can control proceedings from the front and rejoin the winners stall.

R4 #6 Rusheen $8.50 at PlayUp
Very keen at an each way price on Rusheen here, who I think can turn the tables on the favourite Unflinching. He was only beaten 2L by that horse at The Valley last time out, but got a mile back in running and flew through the line in a last 400m sectional that was 14L quicker than standard time. Two massive changes here into this event are the 2.5kg weight swing, and the wider Pakenham circuit that will suit his run on style. Second up, Noonan retains the ride and at a good price he can reverse the result.

R6 #1 Blazejowski $7.00 at PlayUp
Thought the top weight could run a sneaky race here, coming off a respectable 4th behind Decxelation at Cranbourne on a heavy 10 when resuming. On what looked a very unsuitable wet track for this horse, he was very gallant only defeated 2L. Second up here, with a great 1200m record and enough speed to overcome a wide draw. If the track stays in that soft 5 range, that is ideal for this horse with a soft track record of eight starts for five wins. He is the class of this field, and can be right around the money.

Rosehill:
R1 #8 Shihonka $2.30 at PlayUp
Back into form is this Waterhouse/Bott filly after winning fresh, and then failing with legitimate excuses in a G3 at Caulfield. She was very good beating Blow Dart here over 1200m last start, and now gets to the ideal 1350m deep into the prep. She is unbelievably weighted with only 54.5kg in a BM78 against her own sex, seeing that she started favourite in that competitive G3 at Caulfield two back. T Clark retains the ride, straight to the front with no weight and will take a lot of catching.

R8 #1 Francesco Guardi $3.90 at PlayUp
Certainty beaten last start in this grade at the track and distance, today is the day for this horse to bounce back and win. Was a very unlucky 2nd to Born A King here, and was very well backed on that occasion too signalling that it was always going to go very close. Huge rider change here, with J McDonald hopping aboard, and has drawn very well in barrier four with the same weight as last start.
