Siding with this Hawkes’ runner on the up, after a dominant last start maiden victory in only his second career start. It came on the back of a very eye catching debut performance where he was arguably unlucky not to win there as well. Third up here, and has the scope for further improvement here now deeper into the racing career. Sticks to the same track and distance suits, and the wide draw should be no issue from the chute start.

Was a very good first up winner here over 1300m two starts back, running a time 6L faster than average for maiden class in a simply dominant display. She then went to Caulfield for the G2 Armanasco Stakes, and was absolutely smashed in the betting. She was $9 into a $3.50 second favourite, and sat three wide on speed without cover the entire trip. It was a completely forgivable effort, and she looks extremely well suited now third up back to benchmark grade against her own sex.
