Without further ado, let’s get to it!

Thursday 12th March  8.05pm

Parramatta Eels vs Canterbury Bulldogs

The Eels are heavy favourites going into this one, with a -10.5 line. This season hold high hopes for the eels, they finished off the 2019 season in deverstating fashion & anything less then a finals birth will be a big disappointment. They have added Reagan Campbell Gillard to an already strong forward pack, combine this with the try scoring abilty of Ferguson, Sivo & Gutherson the Parra faithful have a lot to look forward to this year

The Bulldogs on the other hand are already in trouble both on & off the field. They did beat Parra in the 9’s tournament earlier this year & the last time they played at Bank West Stadium, but the class of Parramatta’s playmakers & back should prove too much for the Bulldogs

SUGGESTED BETS          EELS -10.5          ANYTIME TRY SCORER   BLAKE FURGUSON $1.75

Friday 13th March 6.00pm

Canberra Raiders vs Gold Coast Titans

If the Canberra raiders has a little bit of luck & a couple of referee decisions go their way, they could be starting the 2020 season as the defending NRL Champions. Ricky Stuart has added some quality to the right side in ex Melbourne storm centre Curtis Scott to cover the departure of Jordan Rapana

The Titans on the other hand are always starting behind the 8 ball with AJ Brimson under an injury cloud again & lot of new combinations across the field. The class of the Canberra Raiders should come through with an easy win for Ricky Stuarts men.

 SUGGESTED BETS     Raiders 13+  $2.24     Under 44.5 $1.90

Friday 13th March, 8.05pm

North Queensland Cowboys vs Brisbane Broncos

What a game this should be to finish off the Friday double header. The cowboys will be opening up their impressive new stadium, showing off their latest big money signing in Australian, Qld & NFL player Valentine Holmes & not to mention a statue of the greatest Cowboy ever JT with a hard-fought game against their biggest rival The Broncos.

The cowboys were impressive in the offseason with young players like Scott Drinkwater stepping up to match the class of Kyle Feldt & the always imposing Jason Taumalolo. The Broncos will be looking to dominate the middle of the field with their impressive forward pack of Hass, Pangai Junior & Fifita but the key to their success is the new combination of Milford & Brodie Croft. If they get their kicking game right, they could spoil the party in North Queensland.

 SUGGESTED BETS         Broncos +2.5 $1.93        Under 38.5  $1.90

Saturday 14th March 3.00pm

Newcastle Knights vs New Zealand Warriors

Knight vs Warriors is close to the hardest game to bet in with any confidents this week. What teams are going to show up? Will Ponga or RTS be able to carry their team to the finals this year or will the good young talent on each team, step up & change the culture at the club.

Both sides are in for a rough year in my opinion, but I do see this game being very interesting both teams have leaked a lot of points in recent years. With new coach Adam Obrien I feel Newcastle will be a lot better in defence this year, this will help them get over the line against the Warriors who are a lot of smart pundit’s tip to be close to the wooden spoon

SUGGESTED BET            KNIGHTS  $1.44

Saturday 14th March, 5.30pm

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Cronulla Sharks

In what looks to be a battle between 2 finals quality teams the Rabbitohs & Sharks will put two different styles of rugby against each other. South has on paper the best back line in the NRL thanks to the signing of Latrell Mitchell.  Alex Johnson, Cody Walker, Dane gagai all have the talent to score trys will.

The sharks on the other hand will rely on defence & will fight for all 80 mins. if this match comes down to the last 10 mins Cronulla will be hard to score against.

SUGGESTED BET    RABBITOHS 1-12 $ 3.00     Gagai to score a try   $ 1.83

Saturday 14th March 7.35pm

Penrith Panthers vs Sydney Roosters

Our last game of a big Saturday triple header is Penrith vs Roosters. The Back to back champions will be out to prove that they are still the team to bet in 2020.  with the retirement of Cooper Cronk & Mitchells move to the Souths, watch for players likes Luke Keary & Daniel Topou to step up and take more of a senior role.

Penrith will be looking to develop a combination between Cleary & Luai to feed the impressive wingers of Brain To’o & Josh Mansour who they need to score a winning score.  The panthers forward pack will need to be fitter and better than last year to be able to keep up with the top 4 teams in the NRL. Roosters should win this game, but will they be as good as they were last year?

SUGGESTED BET  ROOSTERS WIN $1.45              Under 40.50 $1.80

Sunday 15th March 4.05pm

Manly Sea Eagles vs Melbourne Storm

These 2 sides hate each other & everyone knows it don’t be surprised if the sparks fly in this one. Both sides will be around the mark come September with future immortals, internationals & state origin game changers, this game will have it all.

Manly will be led by DCE & the Trbojevic brothers, they will try to control the game with field position & completing sets. Forcing the storm to run the length of the field. The storm will be led by Cam Smith Cam Munster & some of the fastest outside backs in the league in Josh Addo Carr & Ryan Papenhuyzen. these will be the backbone of the storms game with a large forward pack and the best defensive record for the last 5 years the storm will be one of the sides to beat this year.

SUGGESTED BETS   STORM 1-12   $3.10              Under 41.5  $1.90

Sunday 15th March 6.15pm

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Wests Tigers

The last game of Round 1 is St George vs West Tigers. it’s a battle between two sides that need to show that they are more than just making up the numbers this year both sides have been stuck around the middle of the table or worst the last few years due to injuries & poor performance. With Thompson, Luke Brooks & the young star in the making Billy Walters I feel the West Tigers are in better shape than the dragons in the 2020 season.

St George on paper have a better side but the talent of Ben Hunt, Corey Norman now Issac Luke are very inconstant & always trying too hard to make things happen instead completing sets. This game could go either way

SUGGESTED BETS   Under 42.5 $1.90                  either team to win by 6 or less   $3.32

Best of luck on your bets this week, get your multis in early to have a crack at some big winners!
