NBA Tips: 11th May

This year, the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs seems to be all about the home court advantage. Both the Suns and the Heat started their campaigns off with 2-0 leads but they both failed to take their momentum into Games 3 and 4 on the road. While the Warriors did manage to squeeze in a 1 point win against the Grizzlies in Game 1 in Memphis, the second and third games of the round were taken by the home team.

Today’s NBA Bets Explained

Heat to cover -3.5 Line – $1.93 at PlayUp

With the series tied at two-apiece the Heat are heading back to Miami where they haven’t lost a Playoff game this year. The Heat are 5 from 5 in Miami and 4 out of those games have ended with the Heat leading by 15 or more points.

The Heat’s defence is also one of the most reliable in the Playoffs this year, limiting their opposition to 105 points or less in 7 of the last 9 games.

Suns/Mavericks Total Points Over 213.5 – $1.90 at PlayUp

The Phoenix Suns are one of the most efficient offensive teams in the Playoffs and they are especially strong when they play at home. Game 1 and 2 ended with 135 and 138 points on the board respectively.

Games 3 and 4 in Dallas were more defensive but we’re expecting Game 5 in Phoenix to be a return to the Sun’s high scoring ways – all of the Sun’s home Playoff games have ended with over 219 total points this year.
