Greyhounds Tips June 24th

Everywhere you look tonight you will get to witness quality greyhound racing on what promises to be a great night of viewing and punting.

Up north at Albion Park, the highlights will be the Super Stayers Invitational, where four of the countries best stayers will do battle over the 710 metres journey. The four runners are trained in four different states, with the Victorian Five Stars installed as the favourite. In support of this event, feature events over all three distances will add to a great night of racing at the Creek.

At Sandown Park tonight, two first-class Gr8 Eight events, over the 515 metres and the 715 metres, will be the highlights of their program. Both events are of the highest quality and look very even on paper, selecting the winners will not be an easy task. Meanwhile at Murray Bridge in South Australia, the final of the Shane McQueen, over the 520 metres, should produce a great finish, with the two fancied runners both looking to be well drawn in boxes 1 & 8.

Dapto, Hobart, Mandurah and Warrnambool all have strong fields assembled for tonight, so punters have plenty of options available to them when they are trying to find a winner. Our efforts last week were outstanding, so let us hope that the good form, and the good luck, continues tonight for punters.

Albion Park Race 2 No 7 $8.00 at PlayUp – Victorian who was looking good here last week when he showed excellent pace to find the lead before the lure was caught resulting in a no race being called. The wide is ok tonight, he can find the front again. Nice odds and well worth supporting on an each-way basis, despite there being only two place dividends.

Murray Bridge Race 4 No 1 Footrot Fernando $2.40 at PlayUp – Since resuming from a four-month break, has been racing very consistently at Gawler without breaking through. This box looks very suitable and from the draw we expect him to lead all the way. He is our best of the night and your banker for all multi bets.

Sandown Race 8 No 1 Hank The Hustler $2.60 at PlayUp – Last start winner at The Meadows who was very unlucky recently in a heat of the Sandown Cup at this track and distance. Beginning much better these days, and has the speed to hold the lead in this. Once on the lure, he will take a power of beating.

Sandown Park Race 11 No 2 Weblec Whirl $1.90 at PlayUp – Runs here best races when she finds the lead early, and from this box and against this field, she should have little trouble doing that. Capable of running good time when on the lure, so it is difficult to see here being beaten once in front in this field.

Dapto Race 9 No 7 Dani’s Jewel $2.50 at PlayUp – This looks like a drop-in class for her and the small field also looks ideal. Has been racing very consistently without winning of late but this race does look more suitable for her. Has the speed to lead all the way.
