Greyhound Tips: 9th June

Greyhound racing continues to go from strength to strength right across the country, with the stake money currently on offer at record levels. If you are not a greyhound owner at present, we suggest now is a great time to enter the sport. Tonight at Albion Park in Queensland, five heats of the Flying Amy Classic (520m) will be run, with the final of this Group 2 $150,000 event to be held next Thursday. These heats have brought together some of the hottest greyhounds from interstate to take on the best local greyhounds under the age of 30 months. No doubt next weeks final will be a super race. Two heats of the listed Dashing Cosair (710m), for the stayers, will also be contested tonight at Albion Park.

Meanwhile down in Victoria, the rich Pink Diamond Series continues today at Warragul and Shepparton, and then again tomorrow night at Bendigo and Geelong. This series caters for greyhounds of all abilities, from maidens through to the best sprinters and stayers around, and culminate next Friday night at Ballarat with the running of twelve finals. What a night of racing that will be be. Some of major chances in the Champion Sprinters event would appear to be Ferdinand Boy, Panama Canal, Mr. Audacious, Compliance, Plan Ahead, Gypsy Yankee, Fernando Mick and Mepunga Mustang, whilst in the Champion Distance event we rate Untapped, Collinda Patty, Aston Ulysses, Golden Ratio and Manilla Dusk as the leading chances. Now let us see if we can steer the punters into some winners tonight, coming off a tough night last Saturday at The Gardens when winners in the heats of “715” were difficult to find. As tough as the racing appears to be tonight, we do think we can help fill the punters pockets with some nice priced winners.

Sandown Park Race 2 No 2 Sweet Vibes $2.80 at PlayUp – Taken a while to find his feet, but this youngster has been super impressive in his last two wins. His win last week at this track and distance was excellent, with his final split putting him in elite company. He will needs a little luck around the first bend but he will power of this field when he sees daylight.

Sandown Park Race 5 No 1 Let’s Win Coin $2.35 at PlayUp – She has been racing very consistently without winning of late, but from this inside draw she really gets her chance. Uncharacteristically missed the start last week but still ran a great race to finish so close up. Expect her to begin well and lead throughout in this field tonight. She looks the best of the night for us, so make her your banker in all multi bets.

Albion Park Race 4 No 1 Black Comanche $2.45 at PlayUp – Highly promising and from the inside draw tonight, we think he will really stand up and show everyone that he may well be one of the best sprinters in the country. Huge motor and despite using plenty of the track in his races, he has the speed to find the lead in this this race. Star prospect.

Albion Park Race 7 No 3 Good Odds Emma $3.50 at PlayUp – Star NSW performer who continues to improve with each run. Massive run last start chasing her kennel mate Good Odds Cash at The Gardens in very fast time. We think she can find the lead early in this field and then be able to hold off the highly talented Big Opal Rocks.

Sandown Park Race 11 No 3 Go Go Ringo $3.20 at PlayUp – Strong winner in nice time at The Meadows two starts back before looking very unlucky here last week when moving into a forward position. Not a lot of speed in this field so we are expecting him to find the lead early and then prove too strong. Good value.
