All greyhound racing punters will have their eyes firmly fixed on Angle Park tonight where the heats of the Group 1 Adelaide Cup are to be run. Seven very even heats have been drawn together with all heats winners joining Catch The Thief, winner of the Match Race Series last Thursday, in the final next week. We have identified a couple of nice chances in the heats which we hope will help make viewing even more enjoyable. At Albion Park in Queensland the final of the Molly Campbell Silver Dollars is the highlight of tonight’s meeting, in which the very hard chasing Farmor Beach will start a very short priced favourite and rightly so. Race 7 at Dapto will be the GRNSW Middle Distance Series event which will be great viewing.
Warrnambool R5 #6 Molly Blazer $1.90 at PlayUp – Absolutely zero luck last week when resuming from a short break, but she still managed to make significant ground in the closing stages of the event. Awkward box again tonight the dog on her inside does have nice pace and heads for the rails, and we see this as ideal for Molly to get clear galloping room in the run to the first corner. Very strong, this looks ideal race for this future top liner. Selections: 6-5-2-8.
Angle Park R2 #2 Wooden Tiger $8.50 at PlayUp – Freshened up and back significantly in distance tonight for this Cup heat, we believe this race will be run to suit his powerful finishing burst. The two favourites are both on the lure, speed greyhounds who will be at each other all the way, leaving the door ajar for our boy to pounce in the home straight. Excellent each way value. Selections: 2-1-4-7.
Angle Park R7 #8 Oakvale Beauty $7.50 at PlayUp – Was first up last week in the Match Race series and it showed, where after leading clearing until the home straight she wilted in the run to the line. That run will be improved her lengths and tonight we expect big things from her. Remember this girl ran a clos-e up 4th in the Melbourne Cup from a wide box. Again good value. Selections: 8-1-2-6.
Dapto R5 #6 Lola Lovelace $4.00 at PlayUp – Huge drop in grade tonight for this girl, together with a step up in distance, points to this girl being a real winning chance in this even. She has the speed to lead from go to whoa. Selections: 6-3-1-2.
Mandurah R8 #2 Sunset Chernobyl $5.00 at PlayUp – Member of an outstanding litter, this fellow is drawn to land in a forward position tonight and that should allow him every chance to land the money for punters. Main dangers are all poorly drawn. Appears overs at the odds. Selections: 2-8-4-5.
