Greyhound Tips: 17th June

Massive night of greyhound racing in Victoria tonight with twelve finals to be conducted of the rich Pink Diamond series for Victorian bred greyhounds. The Pink Diamond caters for race dogs of various abilities over a range of distances and culminates tonight at Ballarat. After a night of near misses last night, let us hope we can steer the punters into some winners tonight.

Ballarat Race 1 No 5 Jelly Bean Jojo $1.95 at PlayUp – Qualified for the final with a scintillating win at Shepparton by a big margin, making it two wins from two starts. Looks a star in the making. Should be able to lead throughout, as we expect her to have too much speed for her main rival, King Cunnington (2). They do look a certain quinella. Selections: 5-2-8-1.

Ballarat Race 2 No 3 Triumph $2.70 at PlayUp – Outstanding come from behind win in his Shepparton qualifying win. Superbly bred and in a top kennel. Looks a star prospect of the future. Looks for his kennelmate, Motive (8), to also run a bold race. Selections: 3-8-1-2.

Ballarat Race 3 No 2 Ephemeral $12.00 at PlayUp – We think Ephemeral can find the lead early and cause an upset in this final. She has very good early speed and will appreciate being drawn near the rails. Aston Komuni (3) is very talented and with a clear run will be finishing hard. Selections: 2-3-4-1.

Ballarat Race 4 No 5 Rothwell Elzinga $2.70 at PlayUp – Most people will agree, Aston Pablo (3) is the most talented greyhound in the field, but his mind is never 100% on the job. Expect him to place again. Rothwell Elzinga has been racing very consistently winning four of her last six starts. Runs the distance comfortably. Selections: 5-3-4-2.

Ballarat Race 5 No 2 Silver Brute $3.60 at PlayUp – The first of the major finals, with $75,000 awaiting the winning connections. Silver Brute is a real speed machine, and we think he can lead Kepal (3), who is shooting for eleven wins from his last twelve starts. The dog that leads in this final will win. Aston Merit (8) also has enormous speed and is so well drawn out in box 8, as he does take a little time to find his feet. Selections: 2-8-3-7.

Ballarat Race 6 No 6 Collinda Patty $2.35 at PlayUp – Star stayer who looks a class above this field, so the odds do look attractive. We are expecting her to win with ease, and we think she is the best bet of the night, banker in your multi bets. Selections: 6-5-2-8.

Ballarat Race 7 No 2 Zara’s Idol $2.50 at PlayUp – Star sprinter who was outstanding winning his qualifying heat at Geelong. Has the speed to lead his main rival, Jungle Panther (1), and once in front, that should be the race. Great field. Selections: 2-8-3-1.

Ballarat Race 8 No 1 Ferdinand Boy $1.95 at PlayUp – Main final on the program and what an outstanding field will face the starter. Ferdinand Boy was super in his come from behind qualifying heat win at Shepparton and from the rails draw, it is hard to see him being headed. But it is an even field. Selections: 1-6-7-3.

Ballarat Race 9 No 5 Plaintiff $1.90 at PlayUp – Unbelievable win at Shepparton to qualify for this final. Star greyhound. Leads and wins. Selections: 5-2-6-8.

Ballarat Race 10 No 8 Well Grounded $9.00 at PlayUp – Veterans final and another great field. We are thinking Fernando Bluey (7) will provide our selection the perfect cart across from his wide draw and then prove too string late. Will be a different result if Benchester (2) holds the lead. Selections: 8-7-2-4.

Ballarat Race 11 No 2 My Mate Lucas $2.90 at PlayUp – Strong winner at Warragul in his heat. Been racing with a lot of consistency of late. Drawn to have a forward showing and has the advantage of being drawn inside Loneliness (3). Selections: 2-3-8-1.

Ballarat Race 12 No 1 Poppy To Burn $8.50 at PlayUp – Tough race to finish the program. Poppy To Burn does know the track so look for him being able to hold the rails and win. Selections: 1-5-2-3.

THINK. IS THIS A BET YOU REALLY WANT TO PLACE?
