Greyhound Tips: 16th March

Over the last week we have been fortunate enough to witness some outstanding racing right across the nation. We had the final of the Group 3 Temora Cup (461m), where the second highest stake earner in greyhound history, She’s A Pearl, romped home in track record time to provide her with back to back wins in the cup, whilst at Murray Bridge, it was the Ben Rawlings trained chaser, Panorama, who led from the start to win the Group 3 Murray Bridge Cup (455m), providing her with win number twenty one in what has been a stellar career. The four heat winners of the Group 2 Maitland Gold Cup (450m) all ran times within one length of each other, which will ensure that the final, which will be run tomorrow night, will be an extremely open race. The semi finals of the Country Classic at Dubbo, promised so much and it certainly delivered, with the flying heat win of Bandit Jane from box five, ensuring she will start favourite in this Saturday nights final, which is worth $120,000 to winning connections. Finally, but certainly not least, we had the running of the eight heats of the Group 1 Perth Cup (520) and the three heats of the Group 1 Galaxy (715m) at Cannington last Saturday night, which saw a number of the more fancied runners be defeated in the Cup heats, whilst the top fancies have all qualified for the Galaxy. Both these finals will be run this Saturday.

Tonight we have racing at Albion Park, Dapto, The Gardens, Sandown Park, Warrnambool, Hobart, Angle Park and Mandurah. Our followers should have been smiling after last week, as we were fortunate enough to snare a number of winners at very nice odds for them. We do think we have identified some nice winners again tonight for our followers.

Sandown Park Race 1 No 1 Al’s Entity $2.35 at PlayUp – We do think this greyhound has a huge future, based on his four starts to date, all at The Meadows. This track should suit him as he is a long striding greyhound. All his starts to date have been from middle and wide boxes, we think he will excel from this inside draw. If he begins on terms, watch the clock.

Albion Park Race 1 No 1 Jerry $2.30 at PlayUp – Huge run here last week from box 3, when he was checked early and then forced very wide at the first corner, before running home very strongly for second. This draw should suit ideally, allowing him to hold a more forward position early. If his mind is on the job, he will win.

Sandown Park Race 3 No 5 Lady Lily Hook $4.00 at PlayUp – A greyhound who continually finds trouble in her races so we are banking on the small field tonight allowing her the opportunity to get a clear run. She does have a big motor and she is very strong. This does look a very suitable race to get her back winning.

Sandown Park Race 9 No 1 Adhana Rico $2.00 at PlayUp – Huge drop in class for this greyhound, last start having contested the final of the Group 2 Richmond Derby and tonight funds himself back in a Grade 5. Loves the inside and has raced well at this track in the past. Looks the best bet of the night to us, so make him your banker in all your multi bets tonight.

Sandown Park Race 12 No 2 Well Grounded $4.80 at PlayUp – Veteran performer but still racing very well. Finished a close up fourth here last week from a tough draw. We think he can get a good run from this draw and be right in the finish. This field lacks depth so it is a very winnable race. Each way odds on offer.

THINK. IS THIS A BET YOU REALLY WANT TO PLACE?
