EPL Scoring Change – 2022/23 Season

We are making some changes for this upcoming season in the EPL.

Whilst scoring in EPL fantasy is relatively lower than other sports, these tweaks will benefit attacking players. We are also removing some negative plays from the game.

Here is a breakdown of what is changing in EPL:

  • Goal from 8 points to 10 points.
  • Assist from 4 points to 6 points.
  • Shot from 0.5 points to 1 point.
  • Shot on Target from 1.5 points to 1 point. Note a Shot on Target is 1 point + 1 point for the Shot (2 points).
  • Cross 0.5 points to 0.7 points. (Note we have changed the statistic from accurate cross to all crosses).
  • Accurate Pass 0.05 points to 0.02 points.
  • Passes Intercepted 1 point to 0.5 points.
  • Yellow Card -2 points to -1.5 points.
  • Red Card -5 points to -3 points. (If a player receives 2 yellow cards, then player will receive -3 points).
  • Own Goal -4 points to 0 points (Own goals do not count as goals for, but do count as goals against for Goalkeepers and do factor into Clean Sheet calculations).
  • Penalty Conceded -2 points to 0 points.
  • Penalty Miss -4 points to 0 points.
  • Penalty Won 4 points to 0 points.
  • Goalkeeper Win 4 points to 5 points.
  • Penalty Kick Save 5 points to 3 points (GK save 2 points is also added in an event of a GK penalty kick save).

We also adding a new statistic called Assisted Shot. An assisted shot is also known as a “big chance created or key pass”. An assisted shot is defined as the final pass leading to the recipient of the ball having an attempt on goal. An Assisted Shot is worth 1 fantasy point.

All other statistics remain the same from previous seasons.
