Play: J. Philippe – Gun bat who looks like he has cruel intentions for the Canes tonight. Happy to back him to get the Sixers off to a flyer.

Fade: G. Sandhu – Don’t rate Sandhu at all and looks like he will be bowling a few overs to the elite D’arcy Short. Happy to back D’arcy to come out on top here and don’t believe Sandhu will do much else.

DePrazer93

Play: D. Hughes – Hit 60 off 19 balls in the warm up match. Looks like he is in good form. Happy to stick solid.

Fade: N. Ellis – I think it will be a high scoring game which could see him get smacked around a bit. I also think he will be highly owned, so happy to fade him.

Stimpy870

Play: W. Jacks – Selectable as a batter who should bat inside the top 4 and will almost certainly get a bowl with Lamichhane not there. Also Dan Christian – the Sixers got him on board to close out innings with the ball and bat, there is no doubt he will be given every opportunity to do both at 13k

Fade: J. Philippe – I will probably eat my words on this, however, this kid lit up the bbl last year and nobody knew how to bowl to him. I’d find it very hard to believe that the hurricanes don’t have a game plan against him this year…. But can they execute it with some fairly erratic quicks in their side.

Rwhelan09

Play: D. Christian – He’s a good chance to bowl 2 or 3 overs and should get a decent chance with the bat with Henriques out. He matches up well against Hobart’s pacers on what should be a good pitch to bat on.

Fade: J. Botha – Hasn’t played for 2 years and was never a massive wicket taker anyway. He is reliant on economy rate for a good score which is unlikely on a pitch that won’t give him much help and tends to be higher scoring.

Draftstars Traders

Play: D. Short – Most expensive player on a slate with lots of depth. Think he is well worth the gamble even though he may be high owned. He is an out and out BBL Gun and if he gets going, you’ll need him in your team. He could also roll the arm over for a few overs which would be a bonus. Plenty of cheapies to include if you run with him. Stick solid and play D’arcy.

Fade: J. Silk – Not a fan. Great fieldsman but fielding doesn’t win Draftstars contests (usually). Feel like he just doesn’t get going with the bat often. He is a good finisher on his day but happy to fade tonight.
