Wednesday selections from the PlayUp form analyst

Warrnambool R2 #10 Queen Air $1.65 at PlayUp – The G1 VRC Oaks place getter resumes here, back for another prep which will likely build into group targets throughout the Autumn. The one-time favourite for that race back in the Spring fought on very gallantly behind She’s Extreme and Pavitra, while beating a number of very handy horses. Resuming stayers can very often sprint well first up, and although this 1300m distance is clearly unsuitable I think she strikes a very weak race and can be winning here drawn well for J Fry.

Warrnambool R7 #5 Mrs Chrissie $1.60 at PlayUp – Keen to see this very talented mare resume here, now in the leading stable of Maher and Eustace. She has had two jump outs leading into this prep, and won the latest really nicely at Cranbourne over the 800m. She has displayed big ability in her short career so far, including a 4.5L debut win basically untouched, and then genuine efforts in open class races at Caulfield, where she may not have appreciated the wet tracks as well. Finds a very weak BM64 race to kick off in, this should build her confidence again nicely as she heads towards black type targets in the Autumn.

Canterbury R3 #1 Hollywood Hero $2.15 at PlayUp – Went very well on debut here at Canterbury on New Year’s Day, running third in a handy 3yo race behind Toronomica. He jumped well from the inside but found himself in a tricky position midfield on the fence, and got held up entering the straight when he needed to be building momentum. Got clear last 200m and flew home, and was in front a few strides past the post too. Second up here, and has trialled since so we should see some huge improvement. Great rider booking with James McDonald hopping aboard, wins with even luck.

Canterbury R4 #1 Dynamic Impact $3.70 at PlayUp – Third up and ready to win again, off a victory when resuming and a strong 5th at Rosehill last time out. He finished only 2L off Kalino, which is serious Saturday grade form and should hold him in great stead for this midweek event. Is two from two undefeated here at the track and trip as well, seemingly doing his best work around this circuit, and with a good ride from barrier six can win again.
