Horse racing – Stony Creek
This 3-year-old gelding out of the Jasson Warren/Dean Krongold yard and gains the services of Ethan Brown for today’s 2100m Maiden.
At his last start he went forward and eventually got to outside the leader where they had a great “duel” for the last 500m of the race and he was just outgunned late. This is his fifth run in this prep and he is now rock hard fit.
Maps handy today but might decide to find a little cover. The market may have over reacted to early money – should be winning but wait till jump time and you will get a better price.
Our best bet: Stony Creek Race 1, no. 8 – Figo The Great $2.05 at PlayUp

Ruby Edition $7.50 –> $4.20
This 4-year-old mare out of the Phillip Stokes yard and again has the 3kg claim for Sheridan Clarke and is clearly the biggest “go” of the day.
She ran on very well last start and should appreciate the extra 100m of today’s race. She also goes back to a track where she broke her maiden.
For a “get back” mare she should get a strong enough tempo here enabling her to run over the top of them late.
The smart money couldn’t come quick enough when markets opened at the $7.50 quote and they were again happy to take the $5.50. With any luck will be in the finish.
