Racing Tips: 12th January

Midweek selections from the PlayUp form analyst. Take a look at five tips from Caulfield and Warwick Farm below.
Caulfield
R3 #1 First Division $3.10 at PlayUp
Very good winning first up at Bendigo in a maiden, putting the field away by a lazy 5L on the line. She sat up on speed, and was only hands and heels through the line including running 3L quicker than standard time from the 400m home. Second up here and fitter, her ratings suggests she should lot right in here at BM64 grade, and sticking to a race with her own sex is very suitable. Mcdougall riding in outstanding form at the moment, is sure to give her a peach from barrier two.
R6 #2 Gentleman Roy $1.85 at PlayUp
Flying so far this prep, winning two on the bounce at Geelong and last time out in a very good Flemington BM70. He sat up outside the lead on a ferocious tempo, that went 4L quicker than average to the 600m mark. He then straightened and kicked clear, still running the 5th best last 200m split of the entire day through the line for a dominant victory that was backed up very well on the clock. Freshened a touch since then, and strikes a very weak race to make it three from three.
R8 #5 Kentucky Casanova $2.35 at PlayUp
Very excited to see this horse back at the races, who was a dominant winner in very good time at Sandown first up. The win was 5.5L faster than standard for that class, and it led him to Flemington where he started favourite in a hot BM70 down the straight. He didn’t handle the straight track at all, wobbled about and was only beaten 1.4L. Back around a bend here is crucial, and the claim for J Richards in easier grade looks a cherry on top.
Warwick Farm
R3 #4 Invincible Kiss $16.00 at PlayUp
Thought this mare could run a race at odds here, getting a wet track to her liking and looks ready to peak now third up. She has a fourth behind Dragonstone to her name last start, a form line which has become extremely well regarded. The big claim for Reece Jones helps her cause, carrying only 56.5kg now and drops in grade too. After the claim, she is only up 1kg from her last start BM78 run, so all things considered she is well weighted and well drawn.
R7 #2 Offshaw $3.00 at PlayUp
First up here for Baker and Jones combination, this horse looks to have come up super this prep with two very strong trials. He won the latest here at Warwick Farm, under a very big hold trucking through the line with a lot left to offer. He is very well performed on heavy going, with three of his five career wins coming on wet tracks. Should get a nice run in transit from the barrier, and the claim for Reece is a cherry on top.
