Greyhound tips – 8th September

With the completion of the last of the finals of the Million Dollar Chase qualifiers, the action now turns to Wentworth Park on Saturday night when we will see five Préludes of the series. With only twelve places remaining to be filled, it means that first and second from Saturday nights preludes, plus the two fastest thirds, will progress to the semi finals. What a series this is developing into. Next Friday night, eight semi finals will be run at Wentworth Park, with just the winning greyhound from each heat qualifying for the rich, $1,000,000 to the winner, final. When you take a look at the quality of the runners in Saturday nights Preludes, you could easily assume that you were looking at the semi-final feels. Greyhounds such as She’s A Pearl, Dusty Bourbski, Zippy Tesla, Devine Empress, Milligan, McInerney, Orchestrate, Photo Man, Panama Pepper and Amron Boy are all proven group performers and all are still seeking to win their way into a semi final.

Tonight the focus of our attention will be at Angle Park in South Australia, where we will witness the running of three heats of both South Australian Oaks and the South Australian Derby. With both of these events being of Group 3 status, they have always been sought after races with interstate greyhounds generally dominating. With Victorian greyhounds being installed the favourite in the markets for all six heats tonight, it would appear likely that the winning greyhounds again this year will be from interstate. Now let us see if we can steer our followers into a few winners tonight.

Sandown Park Race 2 No 8 Amron Dan $1.70 at PlayUp – Potential star greyhound who has improved immensely since joining the Ennis kennels in July. Outstanding win here last stRt in very fast time for this grade of greyhound. A repeat of the effort will see him winning again.

Angle Park Race 3 No 3 Mckeon Bale $2.20 at PlayUp – Very experienced greyhound, having already won ten times from her thirty race starts. Add to that a placing in a group final, so she does look very well placed in this race. Reliable beginner and strong. Grading special. We think she is the best bet of the night and your banker for all your multi bets.

Dapto Race 4 No 2 Smart Fernando $7 at PlayUp – Loves racing at this track where he has been placed six times from his seven starts at this track and distance, majority in much stronger class than he meets tonight. Does tend to get back in his races so the small field tonight suits ideally. Looks great each way value as hard to see him not finishing in the top two. Each way odds on offer.

Sandown Park Race 9 No 1 Sweet Vibes $2.60 at PlayUp – This dog has always looked a potential stayer. This is his third run at the longer trip, so he should be ready to run a big race. Finished strongly last start when second at The Meadows, albeit in slow time. From this draw hopefully he can settle on the speed and then prove too strong late. It is a very winnable race.

Angle Park Race 8 No 2 Deadly Class $1.50 at PlayUp – Our followers would be still shaking their heads trying to determine how  this dog got beaten last week as he should have won by the length of the straight. But that is racing. And tonight we get out chance to recover our money. Yes he is short, but is a potential super star and wins tonight. We think he will the back up next week and win the final. Yes.

Albion Park Race 10 No 1 Daysea’s Rowdy $2.10 at PlayUp – Strong winner last start, from a wide draw, at this track and distance. Looks very well suited at an inside draw. Has the speed to hold the lead early, so we are expecting him to lead throughout tonight. Hopefully we can finish the night with another winner.
